They've initiated an entire movement promoting transgendered legal and social rights and have organized conferences and petitions to help put their case forward to the powers that be in Singapore. The Sisters in Solidarity are trans women for the representation of trans women in Singapore.
Sisters in Solidarity has sprung up almost overnight and they've done a wonderful job so far. Their activism prompted the article in The Online Citizen a Singapore community online newspaper and now they need support from the community, to help them achieve their goals. I think its a tribute to their dedication and courage that they haven't taken a step backwards, they must be incredibly strong women.
